Franco Caramánico

Franco is an engineering leader with over 14 years of experience building and scaling high-performing teams that deliver complex, customer-obsessed products. For more than a decade at Amazon and Groupon, he has launched impactful B2B and B2C solutions, built durable engineering mechanisms, and mentored senior engineers and emerging leaders to deliver long-term business and customer value.

At Amazon Web Services, Franco helped grow Amazon Connect, the AI-native contact center solution, into a $1 billion business. He launched Outbound Campaigns and led key initiatives in configuration, public APIs, and global resiliency. Before that, at Groupon, he led the API Platform organization, powering all web and mobile experiences used by millions worldwide.

Franco’s leadership philosophy is rooted in ownership, simplicity, and customer obsession. He is known for connecting deep technical insight with clear product vision, aligning engineering excellence with measurable business results.

Franco earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina. His career began in Argentina as a software engineer at Capgemini and Connectis (formerly Thales), before moving to Chile in 2013 to join Groupon, and later to the United States in 2016 to continue his career at Groupon before joining Amazon in 2020. This international and multicultural foundation has given him deep expertise in leading diverse, adaptable, and distributed engineering teams across cultures and markets.

He writes regularly about leadership, management, technology, and career growth on LinkedIn and his personal blog, sharing lessons learned from scaling teams and products at global tech companies. In 2025, he co-authored the book “Los dos extremos de un grito.”
